Seedance 2.0 avatar videos, unified coding-agent sessions and hourly Discover schedules

· 3 min read

Seedance 2.0 arrives in the avatar video generator, coding-agent sessions are unified across your computers, and Discover jobs can run hourly.

Seedance 2.0 is now available in the avatar video generator, and characters can keep their own voices across a storyboard. Voice and chat coding-agent sessions now work as one across all your computers. Deployments are also less likely to fail while they wait on checks, and Discover jobs can run hourly.

Video and images

  • Seedance 2.0 avatar videos: pick it in the avatar video generator, see what it supports, get per-clip price estimates, and render talking-head scenes made of several clips stitched together with your voice track. Scenes built from storyboards now use the latest presenter image instead of a stale or missing one.
  • Character voices and storyboard polish: each character can speak in its own assigned voice, and that voice is remembered across scenes. The storyboard also gets better character cards, voice controls and clip-length presets, and the social post composer has a more integrated editor layout.
  • More reliable renders: late background updates can no longer overwrite a finished video render, and cancelling a render now sticks.
  • Fairer billing: OpenAI image generation is now billed on actual usage rather than a fixed per-image estimate, and customers who were overcharged for 720p Veo 3.1 Fast video with audio are being refunded.

Coding agents

  • One set of sessions everywhere: voice and chat coding-agent sessions are now unified across all your computers, so you can list, read, continue and start sessions from wherever you are. Session chips are cleaner, with the origin icons removed. Voice can also start a coding session on your other online computers, with your explicit permission.
  • Fewer stalls and clearer errors: if a coding agent finishes without a report, the next agent steps in automatically. Sub-agents that failed to start no longer leave their parent waiting out a long timeout. On Windows, setup failures such as a git clone error now show the real error message instead of just an exit code.

Deployments and scheduling

  • Deploys wait instead of failing: deployments held up only by pending checks or approvals are now parked and retried automatically instead of failing straight away.
  • Draft pull requests: they now carry a clear Draft label in deployment views, and attempts to merge one are blocked instead of causing errors.
  • Hourly Discover jobs: schedule Discover to run every hour. If the previous run is still going, the new one is skipped and shown with its own status label rather than looking like a failure.

Around the app

  • Faster feature pages: they no longer download unnecessary files in the background, which makes them lighter to open.
  • Tidier layouts: the Meetings list has cleaner section dividers and a plus icon on the New Meeting button. Standalone and feature documents now share one column width, and chat cards pick up your active theme colors.
