Compact Discover briefs, meeting search by keyword, and a faster default voice model

· 3 min read

Discover briefs gain Compact and Detailed layouts, the assistant can find meetings by keyword, and voice, sync and release reliability all improve.

Discover briefs now come in Compact and Detailed layouts. The assistant can find past meetings from a few keywords, and voice sessions are faster and clearer. Alongside that, repository sync, document design runs and automatic releases got a round of reliability fixes.

Discover briefs

  • Choose a Compact or Detailed layout for Discover briefs, and your length preference is saved in settings. Reports also get tiered ranking and grouping, broadcast emails are consolidated into a single row, and the spoken lead-in now reads out the right row counts.

Voice assistant

  • Voice chat now starts on GPT-5.5 Instant by default for faster, more responsive sessions.
  • Clicking "New chat" during a voice session ends the old session and starts a fresh conversation, so context from past chats doesn't carry over.
  • The spoken warning about other tasks running on your computer is shorter, and a new "learn more" option reads out the details before you decide how to proceed.
  • The voice assistant now hands questions about chat images and earlier replies to the chat agent instead of refusing them. It respects requests to hold off until you say go, and it checks the real status of documents and plans before confirming an update.

Meetings

  • Ask the assistant to find a past meeting by keyword and read its transcript or summary, with no meeting ID or link needed.

Video and media

  • Generate AI videos with built-in model audio, and attach, enlarge or delete continuity stills. Reference images are now passed to video providers correctly, and models that support audio generate it by default.
  • Video generation adds 3:2 and 2:3 aspect ratios, and you can start a video storyboard without a YouTube title. A title is only required when you publish or schedule.

Reliability

  • Repository sync recovers on its own from stale git locks and retries on another device when a sync session fails to start. Windows sync no longer fails on long commands, and a computer's default working directory is derived from its existing repositories. Worktrees are also kept out of synced folders like OneDrive and Google Drive.
  • Document design runs no longer finish without producing their design document, and long repository analysis tasks no longer run out of resume attempts.
  • When a Google connection can't be read, you now see a clear reconnect banner instead of a server error.
  • Automatic releases are less likely to be held up wrongly. Large dependency files no longer block security checks, and production dependencies that were already there are not flagged as new risks. Temporary errors no longer pause deployments, and releases that should only wait for prerequisites now wait instead of failing.
