Voice follow-ups for running agents, simpler email labels, and retired chat models tidied away

· 2 min read

Coding agents accept voice follow-ups while running, Gmail labels are simpler, retired chat models are hidden, and a batch of agent and deployment failures are fixed.

You can now send a follow-up to a coding agent while it is still working, without interrupting it. Gmail labels are simpler and grouped by category. Retired chat models no longer clutter the picker. This batch also fixes several ways agents and deployments could stall or fail.

Voice

  • Send voice or typed follow-up messages to a running coding agent without interrupting what it is doing.
  • The voice assistant is more accurate: urgent deploy requests open the Deploy stage right away, feature requests are passed on correctly, revising a finished task starts a new one instead of erroring, and start-up failures and a full follow-up inbox are now spoken aloud.
  • The voice settings menu has a new layout, with aligned audio options, speech-to-text and text-to-speech controls side by side, and a dedicated read-aloud section.

Email

  • Gmail labels no longer carry nested prefixes. They have shorter names and are grouped under categories such as Category, Sphere and Priority, and existing mailboxes are migrated automatically.

Models

  • Retired chat models are hidden from the model picker on web and iOS and skipped in voice consultations. New chats move to the successor model when a default is retired.
  • Newer chat models are promoted automatically each night, and legacy models are retired after a week.

Agents

  • Coding agents that fail silently at startup now retry once automatically.
  • The requirements agent waits until every pending question is answered before resuming, and expired or closed questions show a clear status instead of causing submission errors.
  • Terminals that are signed out are now skipped when work is routed, so tasks stop being sent to devices that cannot run them.
  • Document design recovers and publishes your document even when the final polish step fails.

Deployments

  • Deployments no longer fail with errors when a pull request blocked for maintenance never finishes recovering. These are now routed to maintenance instead.
  • Hovering over the maintenance chip in the deployments view previews the waiting items without opening another tab.

Security

  • Several fixes harden our services against remote property injection, covering terminal reservations, action updates, and batch file and commit processing.
