Smarter document editing, safer credit handling, and seamless session recovery
· 2 min read
Document editing is safer against data loss, sessions recover automatically after reboots or disconnects, credit alerts are clearer, and two longstanding bugs around task duplication and PR status are fixed.
This batch focuses on making billing more transparent, protecting your work when documents get complex, and keeping sessions running through reboots and disconnects. A large rollout of credit enforcement now underlies almost every service, but the pieces you'll actually notice are the friendlier prompts, the recovery behavior, and a couple of longstanding bugs finally squashed.
Credits and billing
- The out-of-credits modal now appears only once per session and only for actions you actually triggered, ignoring background jobs.
- CLI conversations that hit an out-of-credits error now pause and wait for you to top up, instead of silently auto-approving actions.
- New notifications tell you when your credits are blocked or restored, plus alerts when you're approaching an auto-reload limit.
- Billing for repo analysis, email, calendar, and other integrations now correctly charges the workspace's billing owner, with graceful handling when credits run out instead of hard failures.
Document editing
- AI document edits now use precise markdown changes, atomic batch updates, and strict version checks, so edits no longer risk losing your content.
- Complex elements like merged tables and custom images are now edited in place instead of being rewritten from scratch.
Session recovery
- Reboots on macOS, Linux, and Windows are now detected reliably, so stale sessions from before a restart get cleaned up automatically.
- Runs interrupted by a disconnected computer now resume automatically once it reconnects, with active roles continuing right where they left off.
Delegated tasks and chat
- Delegated background tasks, including voice requests, can now read content you've already pasted into the active chat instead of asking you to repeat it.
- Voice chat can now relay messages and tool approval prompts directly to local coding agents, with safeguards against duplicate delivery.
Fixes
- Nested tasks no longer block identical follow-up requests for up to a minute after finishing; repeated calls now succeed immediately.
- Merged pull requests now show the correct status right away, instead of briefly flashing as "Closed" on deploy pages.
